Momi Ramen, a boutique ramen house founded in Miami, FL, is offering its renowned ramen to the Hamptons. The ramen house in the Downtown Miami area has developed a cult-like following with its perfect bowl of ramen. "With the food community just having celebrated the 105th birthday of ramen noodles in March, we thought it was the ideal time to bring this perfect bowl to the east end," states Anita Chen, owner & manager of Momi Ramen in the Hamptons.
Momi Ramen produces fresh noodles in-house several times daily using a specialized dough mixer & noodle maker imported from Japan. The ramen is so fresh that it never makes it to refrigeration. We did not want to leave the taste & consistency of the noodles to a third party. It is important that we control the quality, texture, & flavor of the noodles. The experience when you bite into the noodles is a pleasing bounce & resilience that holds up to a steamy broth or a cold dipping sauce.
The ramen experience is not complete without a rich pork bone broth. Every day, Momi Ramen cooks kettles of tonkotsu broth - a silky, opaque liquid made with over 80 pounds of pork bones that is filtered & simmered for over 15 hours. "Bone marrow gives a natural gelatinous texture & flavor to our broth that bonds perfectly with the noodles, giving diners an exceptional combination of flavors with every bite." states Jeffrey Chen, founder & chef of Momi Ramen in Miami.
